A customer was able to place an order outside of the postal/ZIP codes I defined
You have setup Easy Shipping Restrictions and whitelisted a series of postal codes. Great! But now you've received an order outside your whitelisted area. This can happen through three different ways:
- The customer entered different postal/ZIP codes between the cart and checkout pages;
- Or the customer navigated directly to your checkout by visiting your site’s /checkout page with items in their cart.
- You shop has 'Buy Now' or 'Proceed to Payment' buttons on a product or collection level.
In instances like items 1 and 2, it is easiest to manually cancel the order. If you notice this happening frequently, please let Easy Shipping Restrictions Support and we can take a look as to why and ship a fix for you.
In instances like item 3, it is important to remove these 'Buy Now' and 'Proceed to Payment' buttons from your theme as they enable customers to bypass the cart page. Customers using the cart page (or an AJAX enabled cart drawer) is a requirement of Easy Shipping Restrictions.
